Valentine Kids Craft

I always feel an unnecessary pressure to create cool Valentine's Day cards for my kids school.  I found this idea on Pinterest, and loved that it involved ZERO candy, and wasn't too difficult to make.  I also love that it included my daughters handwritten names, because I am currently obsessed with her handwriting.  We started the project now, since she needs to take constant breaks in between names so they aren't super sloppy and because "her hand hurts." (drama).

"finished" (almost) product!

created hearts for the girls and arrows for the boys--cut as best I could and then added vertical slits for the "bracelet"

Strung the "bracelet" through the vertical slits and sewed on a cute button.  On the side opposite of the button I cut horizontal slits to create the button holes.

After the initial bracelet was created I figured out what size to make the cardstock paper for my little one to write on.  I cut them to the appropriate size and patiently had my daughter write her friends names and her own (with a 3.5 year old this was the hardest step and took a lot of patience on my part)

Happy creating!!
